History of origin

According to the band's statements, the subject matter of the album was strongly influenced by their impressions in East Berlin , where you can still find remnants of the time of the GDR regime in the form of buildings. The song "Alexanderplatz" is based on the work of the same name by Alfred Döblin " Berlin Alexanderplatz " , which Line said several times that it was his favorite work. Line's side project SOKO Friedhof already contained a song entitled “The Church (Alexanderplatz)” on the work “ The Story of a Werewolf ” , published a year earlier .

Reviews

The reviews were mostly positive, but there were also reviews that had little interest in the work and criticized the fact that the singing and the voice often did not go together, as they “range from imperious, unemotional, pleading to tearful, dumpling and nasal [ fluctuate] ”and thus seem insecure. The lyrics themselves were also described as clumsy, simple or kitschy, and the overall presentation of the work (especially the pictures in the booklet) was too clichéd.

Others stated, however, that the songs were “so expressive and colorful that they arouse images and feelings and could be a mystical, dark declaration of love for life itself”. The Sonic Seducer described the work as "perhaps the most outstanding album of the capital-trailer combination, as it once again a huge step forward - both stylistically and in content - represents". The remix for the song “Willst du?” Was received positively from both sides.

Presentation

The booklet contains 28 pages, the paper is provided with numerous self-made drawings and photomontages, there are pictures of wolves and owls. The cover shows the heavily decorated, cross-like "ot" ligature, which can also be found in the lettering of the band's logo.
