Band history

Grade 2 was founded in 2013 by the then still young school friends Jack Chatfield ( vocals , guitar ), Sid Ryan (vocals, electric bass ) and Jacob Hull ( drums ). At first they only played cover versions of The Stranglers and The Jam, among others . A demo that was recorded after three months caught the attention of the German independent label Contra Records , who signed the band and released their first Extended Play Broken Youth in 2014 . First gigs followed on the English mainland and in Europe, among other things as support for Lion's Law and Booze and Glory . In 2015 a split EP followed with the Czech band Saints and Sinners as well as Nothing to Lose, a contribution to the sampler Oi! This Is Streetpunk Vol. 5 .

Her debut album Mainstream View was released on February 16, 2016 . A music video was shot for the song All I Know . The EP Heard It All Before followed in the same year .

The second album Break the Routine followed on August 4, 2017 and the album Graveyard Island in 2019 . For this they switched to the US label Hellcat Records .
