Grand Hotel Lund
The Grand Hotel in the southern Swedish city of Lund is one of the city's oldest hotels and restaurants and the only grand hotel in town. It is a four star hotel .
The hotel was designed by Helsingborg's city architect , Alfred Hellerström , and built in the historicism style between 1896 and 1898 on Bantorget Square , in what is now Centrala staden . The inauguration took place on October 12, 1899. The interior design is characterized by Art Nouveau , which is particularly evident in the lobby , the stairwell and the large hall. The Grand Hotel is located in the middle of the medieval town center, 150 meters from Lund C train station and now has 84 rooms, of which 32 are doubles and 52 are singles as well as nine conference rooms .
