Grand Prix de Villers-Cotterêts

The Grand Prix de Villers-Cotterêts , rarely referred to as the Trophée Groupe Volkswagen France , was a French cycling race .

The one-day race , which had its date in spring and took place around the French community of Villers-Cotterêts in the Aisne department , was held for the first time in 1998. Since the introduction of the UCI Europe Tour in the 2005 season, the race has been part of this racing series and classified in category 1.1. The Grand Prix de Villers-Cotterêts was also part of the Coupe de France , a series of French one-day races from 2000 to 2006 . No driver could win the race more than once.
