Laurent Lefèvre (born July 2, 1976 in Maubeuge ) is a former French cyclist .

Athletic career

Lefèvre began his professional career in 1997 with the French cycling team Festina . After three years without any notable success, he switched to Cofidis , but remained without success. In 2002 he moved to the French team called Jean Delatour .

In 2003 Lefèvre was able to win one stage each of the Bayern Tour and the Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré .

Laurent Lefèvre took part in the Tour de France ten times , with his best result being 34th overall in 2002 . In 2006 he achieved a similar achievement with the 38th place. At the 2007 Tour de France , he crossed the finish line on the 18th stage with a breakaway group and came in third. Two years later he came second in a breakaway attempt on stage 12 .

After he had not received a new contract with Bouygues Télécom , Lefèvre ended his career in 2011.
