Grand Prix de Plumelec-Morbihan

The Grand Prix de Plumelec-Morbihan is a French cycling race .

The one-day race , which usually has its date at the end of May and takes place around the French commune of Plumelec in the Morbihan department in Brittany , was held for the first time in 1974. Until 1981 the race was called Grand Prix de Plumelec , from 1982 to 2004 A Travers le Morbihan and since 2006 it has been called the current name. Since the introduction of the UCI Europe Tour in the 2005 season, the race has been part of this racing series and classified in category 1.1. The Grand Prix de Plumelec-Morbihan is also part of the Coupe de France , a series of French one-day races. Record winners are Peter De Clercq , Patrice Halgand , Thomas Voeckler , Julien Simon , Samuel Dumoulin and Alexis Vuillermoz , who each won the race twice.
