Grant Cardone (2015)

Grant Cardone (born March 21, 1958 in Lake Charles , Louisiana ) is an American author, motivational speaker, real estate investor and sales coach.

Career

Cardone was born in 1958 in Lake Charles , Louisiana , the fourth of five children of Curtis and Concetta Cardone.

Cardone graduated from LaGrange High School in Lake Charles in 1976. He then attended McNeese State University until 1981, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting . In 2010 he received the McNeese State University Distinguished Alumnus Award , an award for outstanding graduates.

Cardone is a member of the Church of Scientology . In 2006 he supported NASCAR drivers through his company Freedom Motorsports Group Inc.

Cardone is married to Elena Lyons and has two daughters.

Professional career

Cardone moved to Chicago in 1987 to work for a sales training company. While his primary residence was in Chicago, he traveled around the United States and lived in many cities. Cardone made a brief return to Lake Charles, but then moved to Houston, Texas, where he lived for the next five years. He then spent the next 12 years in La Jolla, California before moving to Los Angeles. In late 2012, he moved his offices from California to Miami Beach.

After college, Cardone got into auto sales. Cardone was CEO of Freedom Motorsports Group Inc for some time . At the end of 2010 he began working with Atlas Media Corp. to produce a reality television series called Turnaround King for the National Geographic Channel .

Cardone owns and operates several companies: Cardone Acquisitions, Cardone Enterprises, and The Cardone Group .
