Grant Teichmann (born August 6, 1996 ) is a German - American basketball player .

career

Teichmann comes from a family of athletes: one brother and his father played American football at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga , another brother was on the basketball team at Freed-Hardeman University , and a third brother works as a basketball coach. He grew up in Brentwood , Tennessee , and played basketball at the local school. From 2015 to 2017 he studied at Freed-Hardeman University and played for its basketball team in the NAIA university league . Teichmann was on the field for Freed-Hardeman in 63 games and scored an average of 7.5 points per encounter.

In the 2017/18 game year, he moved to the second NCAA division at Carson-Newman University . There, too, Teichmann acted as a good distance thrower with a good eye for the man next to him. In his second and final year in the shirt of Carson-Newman University, he averaged 14.5 points per encounter, collected 4.5 rebounds and prepared 4.7 basket successes for his teammates. Teichmann hit 68 of his 161 three-point throws during the 2018/19 season.

At the beginning of June 2019 he was presented as a new addition to the German second division USC Heidelberg . Due to the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus , gaming operations were temporarily suspended in mid-March 2020, and Teichmann returned to the United States in view of the pandemic . He played for the Heidelberg team in 28 league games and averaged 3.6 points per game.
