Brentwood is a city in Williamson County in the US state of Tennessee . It is located between the county seat of Franklin and Nashville .

history

In the area of ​​the city there are remains of settlements from the time before 1300, which are still visible in the Primm Historic Park today. On March 25, 1863, much of the city was destroyed as part of the Civil War under the leadership of Nathan Bedford Forrest . After a recovery phase of about 100 years, Brentwood was founded as the City in 1969.

Economy and culture

The headquarters of the Ohio Valley Conference , a sports association of twelve regional universities from five states, is located here, as is the global wireless network WinLink 2000 .

The local recording studio Rec Room Studio recorded the album Headstrong by high school musical singer Ashley Tisdale .

The village also has a botanical garden, the Deerwood Arboretum and Natural Area .
