The Gravenoirefelsen ( French Rocher de Gravenoire ) is a small cliff rock on the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It rises 1.5 km southeast of Rock X from the sea ice on the east side of Victor Bay .
Aerial photos of the rock were taken by the United States Navy during Operation Highjump (1946–1947). It was mapped by participants in the French Antarctic expedition, which lasted from 1952 to 1953, who named it after the Puy de Gravenoire , a hill in the Chaîne des Puys near Clermont-Ferrand, because of the external similarity .
