The Grays River is a 35 km long river in the Canterbury region of the South Island of New Zealand .
geography
The headwaters of the Grays River is at the northern end of the Rollesby Range . From its headwaters, the river first flows a good 1.5 km to the north and then swings in a left curve along the west side of the Rollesby Range in a south-westerly direction, then passes through a wetland, at the end of which the Mackenzie River flows in from the east and empties afterwards The Snow River also brought its waters from the east , then after a total of 35 km, north of the Grays Hills as a left tributary into the Tekapo River .
