The Greer Peak is a prominent mountain in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . In the Denfeld Mountains of the Ford Ranges , it is the northernmost elevation of the Vienna Peaks .
Scientists from the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) mapped it. The American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd , who led this expedition, named the mountain after William E. R. Greer (1918–2011), his personal doctor in the 1950s.
