Gregor Predel

Gregor Predel (* 1961 in Münster ) is a German Catholic theologian who teaches as a full professor of dogmatics at the Fulda Theological Faculty .

Life

After studying Catholic theology in Freiburg and Munich, Predel was ordained a priest in Freiburg in 1988. He spent his subsequent chaplaincy in Bad Krozingen . 1990–1994 followed by a doctoral degree, during which time he also worked as a vicar in Waldkirch-Buchholz and Glottertal. Predel was promoted to Dr. theol. PhD in Freiburg with Helmut Riedlinger . He then worked as a university pastor in Freiburg-Littenweiler until 1996 and as a mentor for lay theologians in the course support for theology students in Freiburg until 1997.

From 1997 to 2004 Predel worked in the pastoral care unit Nördlicher Kaiserstuhl and worked on his habilitation thesis. In 2004 he completed his habilitation with Peter Walter in Freiburg and then taught dogmatics and the history of dogma as a private lecturer at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg . From 2007 to 2011 he was a lecturer in Catholic theology at the University of Koblenz-Landau, Landau campus. In 2009 he was appointed adjunct professor by the Theological Faculty of the University of Freiburg. Since the 2011/2012 winter semester, Predel has been Professor of Dogmatics , History of Dogma and Ecumenical Theology at the Fulda Faculty of Theology.
