Ecumenical theology

Ecumenical theology explores and reflects on questions of the various denominations , the world responsibility of the churches and justice in the horizon of Christian theology .

In the dialogue between denominations and in the processing of the disputed questions between them in relation to doctrine of the faith and Christian practice, it is referred to as denominational studies . In recent times, in many approaches, overcoming the split in the dialogue that does not have the refutation of the opponent, but the appreciation of the other in view, has been the goal. This ecumenical approach distinguishes ecumenical theology from earlier controversial theology .
