Gregorio López y Fuentes

Gregorio López y Fuentes (born November 17, 1897 in the Mexican state of Veracruz , † December 10, 1966 ) was a Mexican writer and journalist .

López y Fuentes was one of the chroniclers of the Mexican Revolution . He started writing at the age of 15, and many of his books are about the revolution.

In 1935 he received the Mexican National Prize for his novel EL Indio . He also wrote the short story "A Letter to God" .

In later years he taught literature in a school in Mexico City . From 1921 he began - often under the pseudonym Tulio F. Peseenz - to write for the newspaper El Universal .
