Gregory Gaynair
Gregory Gaynair (born January 18, 1961 in Düsseldorf ) is a German jazz pianist .
Gaynair, son of the musician Wilton Gaynair , learned to play the piano from the age of seven; he played in bands early on . He studied with Francis Coppieters at the Cologne University of Music ; since then he has been working as a pianist with musicians such as Arnett Cobb , Woody Shaw and Gene Mighty Fly Conners . He belonged to the band of John C. Marshall , with whom he also recorded several albums, and founded his own quartet; he also appears in a duo with Jörg Siebenhaar. According to Jürgen Wölfer , some of his music has “an attractive Caribbean color”. He can also be heard on albie Donelly albums.
