Landmark in Jilin that marks the border between the PRC and North Korea.

The Sino-North Korean border separates the People's Republic of China and North Korea . It is 1,420 kilometers long and stretches along the Yalu River in the west, the Changbai Mountains with the Paektusan volcano and the Sky Lake, and along the Tumen River in the east.

The Sino-Korean Friendship Bridge from 1943 crosses the Yalu and connects the cities of Dandong and Sinuiju . The New Yalu Bridge was built with Chinese funds amounting to the equivalent of 350 million US dollars, but cannot be used due to the lack of connection to the North Korean road network.

The Great Wall of China meets this border near the North Korean city of Sinuiju .
