Greschmühle

Greschmühle (formerly Clausmühle ), in Lower Sorbian Grěšowy Młyn , is a residential area in the municipality of Neupetershain in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district in the south of Brandenburg . The settlement belongs to the Altdöbern office and until 1926 belonged to the Geisendorf community .

The Greschmühle is located in Niederlausitz , about 17 kilometers northeast of Senftenberg and 18 kilometers southwest of Cottbus . Surrounding villages are the largely devastated Geisendorf in the west, Neupetershain in the south and Neupetershain-Nord in the west. The Greschmühle is located on Koselmühlenfließ and on a road about 500 meters east of federal highway 169 . Since 2016 the settlement belongs to the official settlement area of ​​the Sorbs / Wends .

The Greschmühle was first mentioned in a document in 1503 under the name Clausmühle . Around 1840 the Greschmühle had seven inhabitants and was used as a water mill . Until January 1, 1926, the Greschmühle belonged to the municipality of Geisendorf, which was then incorporated into Neupetershain.
