Municipalities and districts

The Altdöbern Office currently administers five municipalities:

history

On September 17, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg gave his consent to the formation of the Altdöbern office with its seat in Altdöbern. October 1, 1992 was set as the date on which the office was established. At the time of its founding, the office comprised the following municipalities in the former districts of Calau and Senftenberg (in the order in which they were named in the official gazette):

  1. Altdöbern
  2. Book grove
  3. Gosda
  4. Lipten
  5. Lug
  6. Muckwar
  7. Ranzow
  8. Chatter
  9. Schöllnitz
  10. Neupetershain
  11. Lindchen
  12. Ressen
  13. Lubochow
  14. Bahnsdorf

On February 1, 2002, the municipalities of Ranzow and Reddern were incorporated into the municipality of Altdöbern. At the same time, the communities of Bahnsdorf, Lindchen, Lubochow and Ressen formed the new community of New Zealand. On March 31, 2002, the communities of Buchenwäldchen, Gosda, Muckwar and Schöllnitz merged to form the new community of Luckaitztal.

The community Bronkow ( Amt Calau ) initially received approval on April 26, 2002 to form the new community Bronkow together with the communities Lipten and Lug on July 1, 2002 and wanted to move to the Altdöbern district. However, on June 12, 2002, the approval to form a new community in Bronkow was revoked. It was not until September 26, 2002 that the Ministry of the Interior approved the merger of the three municipalities and the change of the new municipality of Bronkow to the Altdöbern office. The merger only became legally effective on October 26, 2003. The Altdöbern office now only had five municipalities belonging to the office.
