The Ortrand office is an office established in 1992 in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district of the state of Brandenburg, in which originally five municipalities in the former Senftenberg district had merged to form an administrative association. The seat of the official administration is the city of Ortrand . By spinning off a district and restoring its independence, the office now has six municipalities.

Geographical location

The office is located in the southern part of the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district. It borders in the north on the city of Lauchhammer , in the east on the Amt Ruhland , in the south on the Free State of Saxony and in the west on the Amt Plessa ( district Elbe-Elster ).

Municipalities and districts

The Ortrand office is currently made up of six municipalities:

history

On July 27, 1992, the Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg gave his consent to the formation of the Ortrand Office. July 31, 1992 was set as the date of establishment of the office. The office is based in the town of Ortrand and initially consisted of five communities in what was then Senftenberg :

  1. Large flour
  2. Kroppen
  3. Lindenau
  4. City outskirts
  5. Tettau

Frauendorf was incorporated into the municipality of Tettau on May 19, 1974. As a district of Tettau, the place came to the Office Ortrand. On 5th / 6th December 1993 Frauendorf was spun off from Tettau and became an independent municipality again within the office. Since then, the Ortrand office has six municipalities belonging to the office.
