Gosda ( Lower Sorbian Gózna ) with the localities of Weißag and Zwietow is a district of the Brandenburg municipality of Luckaitztal in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district . The community is located in the Altdöbern district .
The three locations are embedded in the meadow and forest landscape of Calau Switzerland in the Niederlausitzer Landücken nature park .
history
Gosda was first mentioned in 1761 as Gosnej ; the locations Weißag and Zwietow are mentioned for the first time in 1403 in connection with the "old mill". The name denotes a settlement in the forest: the Lower Sorbian Gózda or Gózna denotes a pedunculate oak - hornbeam forest . Gosda one of the places in the Lower Lausitz, which are popularly known also Plinsdörfer because their baked buckwheat blintzes were known. The most important product of local agriculture was buckwheat , the cultivation of which is now being promoted again. In the district of Zwietow there were three mills: the "Old Mill" mentioned in 1403, the "Fuchsmühle" from the 15th century and the post mill on the hill between Zwietow and Gosda.
On September 1, 1950, the place Zwietow was incorporated into Gosda. The inclusion Weißags on January 1, 1967. As part of the municipal reorganization of Brandenburg, the until then independent municipality Gosda closed on 31 March 2002 with the municipalities Buchenwäldchen, Muckwar and Schöllnitz to the municipality Luckaitztal together.
