The Calauer Switzerland is a nature reserve (NSG) near Calau , a small town in southern Brandenburg Oberspreewald-Lausitz . It is located on the foothills of the Niederlausitzer land ridge. Its highest point is the Kesselberg at 161 meters. The area has been under protection since November 21, 1996 by ordinance of the district. It is surrounded by the small towns of Buchwäldchen , Gosda , Zwietow , Weißag , Settinchen , Cabel , Werchow and Plieskendorf .
