The Sorno-Rosendorfer-Buchten nature reserve is located in the area of ​​the city of Senftenberg in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district in Brandenburg .

The area with the identification number 1638 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of April 10, 2014 . The around 1090 ha nature reserve (NSG) (with around 125 ha of water) extends north of Groß- and Kleinkoschen , south of Sedlitz and east of the core town of Senftenberg . The B 96 runs to the west, on the western edge and south . The Großräschener See extends to the north, the Geierswalder See to the east (partly also in the NSG) , the Partwitzer See to the east , the Sedlitzer See to the north (partly also in the NSG) and south of theSenftenberger See . The Schwarze Elster flows to the south and the state border with Saxony runs along the eastern edge .
