The Seewald nature reserve is located in the municipality of Grünewald in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district in Brandenburg .
The area with the identification number 1372 was placed under nature protection by ordinances of March 26, 1981 and July 1, 2007 . The approximately 265.6 hectare nature reserve with the Seewaldsee extends southwest of the core town of Grünewald. On the northern edge of the Grünewalder Lauch , an approximately 100 hectare lake, borders the area. The state road L 63 runs to the east, the B 169 runs to the south and flows the Black Elster .
