The place belonged to the Prussian district of Calau . From 1890 to 1945 the estate was owned by the von Pourtalès family. On January 1, 1925, the neighboring Rettchensdorf was incorporated into Neudöbern. After the Second World War, the place remained in the Calau district , which was newly founded in 1952 .
