Greta Svabo Bech (born 1987 in Tórshavn ) is a Faroese singer and songwriter who lives in the Faroe Islands and makes music there. She works in the field of electropop , alternative pop and electronic .

biography

Greta Svabo Bech became internationally known for her work with Canadian producer Deadmau5 , when the joint song Raise Your Weapon was nominated for best dance recording at the 2012 Grammy Awards and reached 100th place on the Billboard Hot 100.

Greta Svabo Bech later also worked with the Italian artists The Bloody Beetroots on their second album Hide and has been releasing solo material since 2013. In 2014 and 2015 she won two Faroese Music Awards , in both years the award for best pop performer, 2014 for best video of the year ( Broken Bones ) and 2015 for song of the year ( Myrkablátt ).
