The Bloody Beetroots is a project and pseudonym of the Italian electro producer Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, which he founded in 2006 together with DJ Tommy Tea. Their trademark are the Venom masks , which are known from the Spider-Man films . The musicians wear these during their live performances.
While Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo is responsible for all music production, Tommy Tea only accompanied him during live performances of the projects The Bloody Beetroots DJ Set and The Bloody Beetroots Death Crew 77 .
history
The project officially started in January 2007. The joint US tour in 2008 with Steve Aoki finally brought The Bloody Beetroots the breakthrough. First they produced remixes , followed by their first single Rombo in 2009 and finally their debut album Romborama . The most successful single releases are Warp 1.9 and Cornelius . Warp 1.9 has more than 13 million clicks on YouTube and was among the top 100 songs on iTunes. Warp 1.9 and the entire album were produced in collaboration with Steve Aoki. Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo and Steve Aoki also founded the hardcore band Rifoki in 2010 (composed of their last names). In 2010 her new singles Domino and New Noise followed .
In 2011, Rifo toured with a live band called The Bloody Beetroots Death Crew 77 . Other members were Tommy Tea (FX controller), Edward Grinch (drums, until 2011) and Battle (drums, from 2011).
In 2012 Rifo and Tommy Tea toured as The Bloody Beetroots DJ Set . Since the beginning of 2013 Rifo has been touring with a live band again, this time under the name The Bloody Beetroots LIVE . The band currently has the following members: Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo (vocals, piano, guitar, bass), Battle (keyboards, bass) and Edward Grinch (drums).
The album HIDE was released in September 2013 .
The Great Electronic Swindle was released in October 2017 .
Songs from The Bloody Beetroots are on soundtracks from CSI: Miami , The Hard Times of RJ Berger and the video games FIFA 09 , NBA 2009, NBA2K9 , Need for Speed: ProStreet , Need for Speed: Nitro , Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 , Asphalt , Saints Row: The Third and Saints Row IV represented.
