Grete Rader-Soulek

Grete Rader-Soulek (born November 4, 1920 in Vienna ; † December 14, 1997 there ) was an Austrian textile artist , painter and designer.

Grete Rader-Soulek studied at the Academy of Applied Arts Vienna with Oswald Haerdtl . From 1947 to 1959 she taught at the Fashion School of the City of Vienna in Hetzendorf, from 1959 to 1988 she led the master class for decorative design and textiles (later master class for tapestry ) at the University of Applied Arts Vienna . She was also active as a painter and in furniture and toy design. Rader-Soulek was buried at the Hietzingen cemetery .
