Grete Vogel
Margaretha or Margarethe, called Grete Vogel (born September 18, 1891 , † May 17, 1970 in Bremen ) was a German worker functionary and politician. She was a member of the Bremen Citizenship ( SPD ).
Life
Grete Vogel married the social democrat Vogel from Fähr in what was then the Blumenthal district . In 1920 she was the youngest founding member of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO), for which she worked as a functionary for 50 years until her death.
She was a member of the SPD in a local club in Bremen-Nord . From 1946 to 1955 she was a member of the Bremen Citizenship for nine years in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd electoral terms and was particularly active in the deputation for welfare, nutrition and physical exercise.
Honors
- The Grete-Vogel-Weg in Bremen-Hammersbeck was named after her.
- In 1969 she was awarded the Marie Juchacz plaque from the AWO.
