Grigori Vladimirovich Janez ( Russian Григорий Владимирович Янец ; born August 18, 1948 in Orgeev , Moldovan SSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Soviet football player and coach.

life and career

Grigori Janez was born in Orgeev (today Orhei ) in 1948 . He began playing professional football in 1966 with Avintul Kishinev and was also called up for the U19 national team of the Soviet Union.

Two years later he moved to Torpedo Moscow in the highest Soviet league . Until 1974 he stayed with the capital city, where the defender played 129 league games and scored three goals. In his first year with the Muscovites, he won the Soviet Football Cup. In the 1972 season he was loaned to CSKA Moscow .

In 1976 he moved to Tawrija Simferopol in the Crimea , where he remained without a job and his contract was dissolved again in 1977. After two years without a club, he returned for one season to his old club in Kishinev, which in the meantime started as "Nistru" and then ended his career.

Between 1986 and 1988 Janez worked again as a trainer, first with Sarja Belzy , then with Niwa Ternopol . Then he finally turned his back on professional football. Janez now lives in Moscow.
