Grillparzer Bridge

With the Grillparzerbrücke , the street Am Langenzug in the Hamburg district of Uhlenhorst crosses the Hofweg Canal near the mouth of the Osterbek , which at this point flows into the Alster Bay known as the "Langer Zug". The bridge is named after the nearby Grillparzerstraße, whose name goes back to the Austrian poet Franz Grillparzer .

The Grillparzerbrücke is a truss - arched bridge . It is 8.40 m long, 12 m wide and has abutments made of solid natural stone. In 2017, due to considerable damage to the abutments and the wing walls, a renovation of the Grillparzer Bridge became necessary.

The Grillparzerbrücke, built in 1893, is listed with the number 20570 in the list of monuments of the Hamburg cultural authority .
