Grimes Ridge is a high and mostly icy mountain ridge in Marie Byrd Land, West Antarctica . On the Walgreen Coast, it rises on the Bear Peninsula on the northern flank of the Holt Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using aerial photographs of Operation Highjump (1946-1947) from January 1947. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1967 after Captain E. W. Grimes, a member of the United States Navy's flight department in Antarctica in support of the operation Deep Freeze in 1966.
