The Holt Glacier is a large glacier on the Walgreen Coast of Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . On the Bear Peninsula, it flows in an easterly direction between the Grimes Ridge and Jones Bluffs to Lake Amundsen , which it reaches in the form of a floating glacier tongue south of Goepfert Bluff .
A first position determination was based on aerial photographs of Operation Highjump (1946-1947) from January 1947. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him after Joseph V. Holt, a member of the flight department of the United States Navy in Antarctica from 1965 to 1967.
