course

The Gritzer Almbach is fed by several source streams that arise on the steep south-east slopes of the Gritzer Hörndle or on the south-west slopes of the Gritzer Riegel . The source streams unite in the area of the Gritzer Alm at an altitude of between 1940 and 1790 meters. The Gritzeralmbach strives in a south-southeast direction towards the Defereggental and, with the exception of the upper reaches, flows through densely wooded areas. In the lower reaches of the stream crosses several bridges from crossing hiking trails as well as the road to Gassen and also takes on a tributary on the right side that rises on the southern flank of the Gritzer Hörndel. The Gritzer Almbach finally flows into the Schwarzach on the right opposite the Gasser (Bruggen) gravel works between the villages of Mentlerboden and Osing.
