The Abdul Medgid Mosque (also Great Mosque , Romanian Geamia Abdul Medgid or Moscheea Mare ) is an Islamic place of worship and a listed building in Medgidia , in Constanta County , Romania .

The Abdul Medgid Mosque was built in Medgidia between 1857 and 1865 on behalf of the Ottoman government . Like the city itself it is after the Sultan Abdülmecid I named. The 25 meter high minaret stands on the northwest wall of the building and has a conical roof. Inside the building there is rich ornamentation in neoclassical Ottoman style, the staircases are clad with linden and cedar wood.

The mosque is the oldest building in the city and one of the two Islamic places of worship in Medgidia. The building, located at 20 Decebal Street , is registered in the list of historical monuments of Constanța under the code LMI CT-II-mA-02904 .
