The Great Northern Mosque of Jinan ( Chinese  济南 清真 北大 寺 , Pinyin Jǐnán Qīngzhēn Běidàsì ) is a mosque complex in the city of Jinan in Shandong Province .

The mosque is located on Yongchang Street (永 长街) of Hui Settlement (Huimin xiaoqu), “ City Center ” District , now Rencheng , Jinan City, Shandong Province, People's Republic of China. It is to be distinguished from the older Great Southern Mosque (济南 清真 南大 寺 Jǐnán Qīngzhēn Nándàsì) in the same street. The mosque was built in the Hongzhi era of the Ming Dynasty and expanded during the Qing Dynasty under Qianlong , Jiaqing , Daoguang , Guangxu, and the Early Republic period . A training center for Islamic personnel is located in the rear hall of the site.

The Muslim teacher training college Chengda Shifan Xuexiao , founded in 1925 by Ma Songting (马松亭), Tang Kesan (唐柯 三) and others, was located here before it was relocated to Beijing (formerly Beiping 北平) in 1929 to the Dongsi Mosque .
