The Great Neva ( Russian Большая Нева , Bolshaya Njewa ) is the larger left arm in the Neva Delta .

It runs from the Castle Bridge to the Neva Bay (Невская губа) and is about 3.5 kilometers long. Its width varies between 200 and 400 meters. The Great Neva is up to 12.8 meters deep. The Fontanka , Moika and Novo-Admiralteysky Canal flow into the Great Neva .

The Great Neva is crossed by two bridges, the Castle Bridge and the Blagoveshchensky Bridge .
