The Große Benzer See is a lake in the municipality of Malente in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein . It is located (difficult to access) west of the village of Benz / north of the Kellersee in the immediate vicinity of the Kleiner Benzer See .

It is located in Holstein Switzerland, surrounded by a hilly moraine landscape .

The Großer Benzer See has a size of 13 hectares and a maximum depth of 15.8 m. The lake has an oval shape with a length of approx. 510 m and a width of approx. 300 m and drains into the Kleiner Benzer See (100 m to the northwest) .

Among other things, it is fed by the water of the Schwonau lake to the southeast .
