The Great Döhrener Pond (also called Döhrener pond) is a quarry pond in the southern city of Hannover , Lower Saxony . It belongs to the Ricklinger Kiesteiche group in the floodplain of the Leine .
The lake is used by the Hanover fishing association as angling waters. In 2009, eel, barbel, perch, pike, carp, roach, tench, catfish and pikeperch were reported from the lake.
In the south-west of the pond there is a small swimming pool with an artificial swimming pool that is no longer used and a paved entry point into the pond, changing rooms, showers, a children's playground and catering. It is also the club center of the SSV Union 06 Hannover swimming club and houses its equipment.
