Gian Marco Marcucci

Gian Marco Marcucci (born July 25, 1954 in Borgo Maggiore ) is a San Marinese politician.

Marcucci studied law at the University of Bologna and works as a lawyer and notary.

He was a member of the Partito Democratico Cristiano Sammarinese , including Vice Secretary (vice segretario del Partito) and a member of the party's central committee. On 4 July 2007, he was among the founders of Europopolari per San Marino ., Which in March 2011 with the Democrats of the Centro for Unione per la Repubblica merged. Marcucci was chairman of the new party from 2011 to 2013.

In the parliamentary elections in 1998 Marcucci was first elected to the San Marinese parliament, the Consiglio Grande e Generale . In the following elections he was re-elected, in 2001 and 2006 on the PDCDS list, in 2008 for the EPS on a joint list with PDCS and Arengo e Libertà and in 2012 for the UpR. He resigned his parliamentary mandate on November 4, 2014 after his office and home were searched as part of the investigation into the Conto Mazzini affair . In the 28th legislative period since 2012, he was a member of the Interior Committee and a member of the San Marinese delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union .

From 1981 to 1982 he was the commander of the civil police (Polizia Civile) , from 1982 to 1984 a lawyer at the Avvocatura dello Stato . In the term of office from April to October 2000 he was together with Maria Domenica Michelotti one of the two Capitano Reggente (heads of state) of San Marino. In the government established by Patto per San Marino in 2008 , he took over the post of Minister of Labor (Segretario di Stato al Lavoro, Cooperazione e Poste) . When the successor party of the EPS, the UpR, left the government in 2011, Marcucci resigned and Francesco Mussoni became his successor.

Marcucci lives in Faetano , is married and has five daughters.
