Enzo Colombini

Enzo Colombini (born June 6, 1958 in San Marino ) is a San Marino politician . He was twice Capitano Reggente (head of state of San Marino).

Colombini worked in the field of culture for the Centro Sociale di Fiorentino from 1984 to 2000. In 1976 he joined the Federazione Giovanile Comunista, the youth organization of the Partito Comunista Sammarinese (PCS). From 1983 to 1993 he sat for the PCS in the Parliament of San Marino, the Consiglio Grande e Generale . In the period from April 1 to October 1, 1985, he held the office of Capitano Reggente , the head of state of San Marino, together with Severiano Tura .

After the dissolution of the PCS in 1990, he joined the successor party Partito Progressista Democratico Sammarinese (PPDS), on whose list he was re-elected to the Consiglio Grande e Generale in the 1998 election. He was a member of the Consiglio Generale of the PPDS and from 1994 to 1998 Secretary of the Federazione del Castello di Serravalle. From 1994 to 1998 was a member of the municipal council (Giunta di Castello) of San Marino .

In the 1998 election he moved back to Parliament on the PPDS list. He was Sindaco del Governo, member of the home and health committees and was a member of the San Marinese delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). His second term as Capitano Reggente, together with Gian Franco Terenzi , lasted from October 1, 2000 to April 1, 2001.

After he had not run in the 2001 parliamentary elections, he was re-elected to parliament in 2006 on the list of the newly founded Sinistra Unita . He was re-elected to the SU list in the 2008 parliamentary election. He became a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and a delegate to the IPU.

In the parliamentary elections in 2012, he decided not to run. He was a member of the Secretariat and the Board of Directors of Sinistra Unita. In 2016 he joined the Sinistra Socialista Democratica (SSD), successor to the SU.

Enzo Colombini is married and has two children.
