Pier Marino Mularoni

Pier Marino Mularoni (born September 6, 1962 ) is a politician from San Marino .

biography

Mularoni began his political career as a member of the PDCS . He was director of the party newspaper San Marino , vice secretary of the party and chairman of the parliamentary group. Together with other members of the Christian Democrats, he founded the Democratici di Centro in 2007 and became its president in May 2010. In 2011 the Democratici di Centro merged with the Europopolari per San Marino to form the Unione per la Repubblica .

In 1993 Mularoni was first elected to the Consiglio Grande e Generale , the San Marinese parliament. In the parliamentary elections in 1998, 2001 and 2006 he moved into parliament on the PDCS list. In the 2008 elections he was re-elected to parliament for the Democratici di Centro and in 2012 for the UpR. After he was investigated for money laundering in the context of the Conto Mazzini affair and his home and office were searched, he gave up his parliamentary mandate on November 27, 2014.

Mularoni was mayor (capitano) of Faetano from 1986 to 1993 . From April 1 to October 1, 1997 he was one of the two heads of state ( Capitano Reggente ) together with Paride Andreoli . Mularoni was Minister of Labor from 2001 to 2002 and Minister of the Interior from May to June 2002. From 2002 to 2006 he was Minister of Finance and from 2007 to 2008 again Minister of Labor. He was an alternate member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe from 1998 to 2001 and again from 2009 to 2013.

Mularoni is married and has two children. He lives in Faetano.
