Marino Zanotti

Marino Zanotti (born April 29, 1952 in Faetano ) is a San Marinese politician. He was Capitano Reggente (Head of State) twice from October 1, 1992 to April 1, 1993 and again from October 1, 1997 to April 1, 1998 .

politics

Zanotti was a member of the Partito Socialista Sammarinese (PSS), for which he sat from 1993 to 2001 in the Consiglio Grande e Generale , the Parliament of San Marino. In the 2001 parliamentary elections, he ran again on the PSS list, but failed to make it into parliament. In the following parliamentary election in 2006 he ran for the Partito dei Socialisti e dei Democratici , which was formed in 2005 from the union of the PSS and Partito dei Democratici , but could not win a seat. In 2007 Zanotti was elected to the party executive committee (Consiglio direttivo) of the PSD, in June 2009 he resigned.

Zanotti was elected Capitano Reggente (head of state) twice : from October 1, 1992 to April 1, 1993 together with Romeo Morri and from October 1, 1992 to April 1, 1993 together with Luigi Mazza .

Since February 2011 he has been the ambassador of San Marino to Belarus (based in San Marino).

Honors

Zanotti was awarded the Grand Cross with Grand Chain of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic by the Italian President on March 3, 1998 .
