Ernesto Benedettini

Ernesto Benedettini (born March 5, 1948 in San Marino ) is a politician from San Marino . He was from April 1 to October 1, 1992 and again from October 1, 2008 to April 1, 2009 Capitano Reggente (head of state) of San Marino.

Life

Benedettini was employed in the private sector until 1974. Then he was self-employed. From 1996 to 2005 he was a partner in a waste management company. Benedettini lives in Borgo Maggiore , is married and has two daughters.

politics

Member of the PDCS since 1968 , from 1988 to 2006 and again from 2008 to 2011 he was a member of the party executive committee.

From 1984 to 1988 he was mayor of Borgo Maggiore . In 1988 he was elected to the Consiglio Grande e Generale , the Parliament of San Marino, to which he has belonged ever since. He was a member of the Finance and Foreign Affairs Committee, the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly and the Consiglio dei XII. For the period from April 1, 1992 to October 1, 1992 he was elected together with Germano De Biagi as Capitano Reggente , the head of state of San Marino. From October 1, 2008 to April 1, 2009 he completed his second term as Capitano Reggente together with Assunta Meloni . Since 2006 he has been President of Giochi del Titano, the state-owned San-Marinese gambling and lottery company.

Benedetti lives in Borgo Maggiore, is married and has two daughters.
