Marino Riccardi

Marino Riccardi (born July 9, 1958 ) is a San Marino politician and was three times one of the two Capitani Reggenti (heads of state) of San Marino . He is a member of the Democratic Party ( Partito dei Democratici ).

Riccardi has a degree as an accountant and has been a member of the Partito dei Democratici or the predecessor party Partito Comunista Sammarinese since 1972 . From 2000 to 2001 and again from 2002 to 2004 he was a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe . From 2006 to 2008 he was Minister for Territory, Environment and Agriculture (Segretario di Stato al Territorio, all'Ambiente, all'Agricoltura e ai rapporti con l'Azienda di Produzione) . He did not run for parliamentary elections at the end of 2016, but was a member of the Consiglio Grande e Generale as Capitano Reggente until the end of his term of office on April 1, 2017.

Riccardi was Capitano Reggente three times, in 1991/92 together with Edda Ceccoli , in 2004 with Paolo Bollini and in 2016/17 with Fabio Berardi .
