Mimma Zavoli

Mimma Zavoli (born February 13, 1963 in Santarcangelo di Romagna ) is a San Marinese politician . She was one of the two Capitani Reggenti (heads of state) of San Marino from April 1 to October 1, 2017 .

Life

Mimma Zavoli was born in 1963 in Santarcangelo di Romagna, Italy, as a child of farmers who had emigrated from San Marino. She trained as a kindergarten teacher and from 1980 worked as an educator in the kindergarten and the day care center (asilo nido) founded in 1981 . She has been a labor inspector since 2006.

Mimma Zavoli is married and has two children.

politics

She was a member of the Christian Democratic PDCS from 1977 to 1989 , and was a member of the municipal council (Giunta di Castello) of Città di San Marino . She was one of the founders of Civico 10 in 2012 and was elected to the San Marinese parliament, the Consiglio Grande e Generale , in the November 2012 elections. She was part of the San Marinese delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

In 2016, Mimma Zavoli was re-elected to Parliament on the Civico 10 list. She is a member of the Interior and Justice Committee, as well as the Consiglio dei XII and is a member of the delegation to the IPU. On March 16, 2017, she and Vanessa D'Ambrosio were elected Capitano Reggente (Head of State) of San Marino for the period from April 1 to October 1, 2017. This was the first time that there were two female Capitani Reggenti at the same time.
