Enrico Carattoni

Enrico Carattoni (born May 18, 1985 in Borgo Maggiore ) is a politician from San Marino . From October 1, 2017, he was Capitano Reggente (Head of State) of San Marino together with Matteo Fiorini .

Life

Carattoni graduated from the University of Bologna with a law degree in 2010 and works as a lawyer and notary.

Carattoni was elected to the board of directors (Consiglio Direttivo) of the PSD in 2007, in 2008 he became secretary of the Giovani Socialisti e Democratici, the youth organization of the PSD. In the run-up to the 2016 general election, he joined the newly founded Sinistra Socialista Democratica (SSD) and became its spokesman.

In 2003 he was elected to the municipal council (Giunta di Castello) of the capital San Marino . He was re-elected in 2009 and was secretary of the local council from 2009 to 2014.

In the parliamentary elections in 2012, he ran on the list of the Partito dei Socialisti e dei Democratici (PSD), but failed to make it into the Consiglio Grande e Generale . From 2013 to 2015 he was a member of the Commissione di Vigilanza. In May 2015, he moved to parliament for Stefano Macina, who had resigned . He became a member of the health committee.

In the early parliamentary election at the end of 2016, Carattoni was re-elected to the list of SSD in the Consiglio Grande e Generale. The SSD is a member of the government's Adesso.sm coalition , which won the runoff election on December 4th . Carattoni became a member of the finance committee.

From October 1st, 2017 to March 31st, 2018 he was Capitano Reggente (Head of State) together with Matteo Fiorini .
