Massimo Andrea Ugolini

Massimo Andrea Ugolini (born July 26, 1978 in San Marino ) is a San Marino politician . From April 1st to October 1st, 2016 he was Capitano Reggente (Head of State) of San Marino.

Life

Ugolini is trained as an accountant. From 1999 to 2007 he worked for SIAM as a project manager, software developer and data center manager. He has been working for the Banca di San Marino since 2007. Ugolini is married, has two sons and lives in Serravalle .

politics

Ugolini joined the Partito Democratico Cristiano Sammarinese in 2008 . From 2008 to 2012 he was vice-secretary of the Domagno local association. He has been a member of the Central Council since 2008 and of the party's presidium since 2014.

In the parliamentary elections in 2012 he reached place 22 on the list of PDCS-NS, which won 21 seats, but moved up for one of the PDCS ministers in parliament, the Consiglio Grande e Generale . He was a member of the Interior Committee, Finance and Foreign Affairs Committee and the Consiglio dei XII and belonged to the group of San Marinese MPs in the Interparliamentary Union .

Together with Gian Nicola Berti , he was elected Capitano Reggente, the head of state of San Marino, for the period from April 1 to October 1, 2016.

In the parliamentary elections at the end of 2016, he returned to the Consiglio Grande e Generale for the PDCS. He is a member of the Consiglio dei XII and the Finance Committee. In April 2017, he replaced the resigned Gian Carlo Venturini in the judicial committee and took over the chairmanship of the committee.
