Sebastián Pérez Cardona (born March 29, 1993 in Envigado , Antioquia ) is a Colombian football player who mainly acts in midfield .

career

society

Pérez began his career in 2011 at Atlético Nacional , with whom he won the championship title of the Colombian league in his first half-season , the Apertura 2011 . Overall, Pérez was five times champion with Nacional and helped the club to overtake the previous record champions of the Colombian league, Millonarios FC , and to put themselves at the top of the most frequent titleholders with now 15 championship titles. In addition, Pérez won the Colombian Cup twice in a row with Nacional in 2012 and 2013 . His most important title with Nacional, however, was winning the Copa Libertadores just before joining Boca Juniors in the 2016 season .

Pérez made his debut in the dress of Boca Juniors on September 25, 2016 in a 4-1 home win against Quilmes AC and he was the only non-Argentine player in this encounter in the Argentine league .

In the away game of the Boca Juniors at CA Banfield on March 11, 2017, Pérez came on in the 88th minute when the score was 2-0 for Boca (which was also the final score) and was sent off five minutes later. The reason for the dismissal was a slap on the shoulder of his opponent, who however dropped so theatrically and held his hands in front of his face that he faked a slap in the face, which was possibly decisive for the red card .

Guest appearance at Arsenal

In August 2013, Pérez completed some training sessions at Arsenal and was used in a friendly against Manchester City . His possible engagement failed due to problems with the work permit .

National team

Pérez made his debut for the Colombian national soccer team in a World Cup qualifier against Bolivia on March 24, 2016, which was won 3-2. Five days later, on his 23rd birthday, he scored his first international goal in his second international match against Ecuador (3-1), also in the context of World Cup qualification.
