Tasuja made her debut in 2009 with the volume of poetry Provincial Poetry , the title of which says it all: Born on the flat country, she does not view the world from the conventional (cultural) centers, but rather “from the provinces”. A characteristic of her very personal poetry is the frequent use of the first person singular, here it was compared with Johnny B. Isotamm within Estonian poetry , but also with international greats such as Charles Bukowski . At the same time, her poems were called "lyrical autobiography", which in the eyes of a critic brought her close to the prose writers Jüri Ehlvest and Peeter Sauter .

Tasuja has also published some prose texts and is now counted among the “young angry women” in contemporary Estonian poetry , such as Helena Läks , Kelly Turk or Sveta Grigorjeva .
